Spikes for Starkey
4/6/2019
Spikes for Starkey is a volleyball tournament where students and different organizations can create teams and compete. This year's event also had an inflatable obstacle course, snow cones, and music. This year Sig Tau won the volleyball tournament and we raised $6,194 for the Starkey Hearing Foundation!
Lip sync battle
10/10/19
Sisters and other Greek organizations came together to perform songs and put on a show to raise money and awareness for the Painted Turtle Camp. This was Kappa Phi's third annual lip sync battle and it was quite the turnout. We loved seeing members of our community support our chapter and our philanthropy. This event helped raise over $7,000 for The Painted Turtle. We only hope to continue making this event bigger in the years to come.
“To those whom my life may touch in slight measure;
May I give graciously,
Of what is mine.”
National Philanthropy
Our national philanthropies, supported by all collegiate alumnae chapters, are Hearing and Speech. Delta Zeta is national partners with the Starkey Hearing Foundation, and The American Society of Deaf Children. Along with our partners, we also have SeriousFun Children's Network as our Global Service Project. As of 2017, Nationals has declared May 2nd of every year as National Hearing and Speech day. Women all across the country have come together to reach the goal of raising $5 million dollars to donate through Heart for Hearing.
